As you sit down to enjoy your ramen noodles in front of YouTube tonight, spare a thought for the starving (for an audience) actors at the Cambridge ADC Theatre. These hard working folk have been slaving every Tuesday and Thursday night for the past 10 weeks to bring joy to the undeserving masses. Through flooded parking lots they have trudged; in stifling hot dressing rooms they now sit; and behind blinding footlights they will perform.
But now, you can help. Your £8 “donation” will cover the cost of one of the following essential theatre items:
- one gravestone prop; or
- two Victorian wigs; or
- five sound effects.
In return for your generous contribution, we would like to invite you to attend a performance of David Copperfield by these needy local thespians.
